Guardian Generation 2 software version 1.7.2 global release  

Dear Colleague,

Seeing Machines is pleased to advise the safe launch plan for software version 1.7.2 has successfully concluded. This software update will be made available to all customers from 23 September 2024.

• Installation Certified Technicians will be able to download SW version 1.7.2 from the Technical Communications Portal (TCP)

Software improvements

The launch of SW version 1.7.2 is designed to 

• Blackbox Improvements
  Improved download functionality
• Driver head position tracking sent in heartbeat
  Enables tracking of driver's head in relation to the camera
• Install Wizard update
  Removed non-connected unit option 
• Hard limit cut off for long running event duration
• Bug Fixes and Improvements

Next steps

Installers and trainers  

Installation Certified Technicians will be able to download SW version 1.7.2 from the Technical Communications Portal (TCP) for use in new installations.

Upgrade compatibility

OTA updates can only be applied to systems on the latest SW version 1.6.1 and above. If your system is not on latest software version 1.6.1, please contact your Account Manager to discuss your options.

Global rollout

Seeing Machines will automatically push out this software update OTA to all remaining systems from 23 September 2024.
