Seeing Machines is committed to continually improving our products and services. This includes updating the Guardian system software (SW) on a regular basis.
We are pleased to advise Guardian Generation 2 SW version 1.7.0 is now ready for release.
Safe launch plan
The safe launch plan (SLP) for SW version 1.7.0 has been cleared for commencement. We have selected units for each phases of the SLP. After each phase, Seeing Machines will review the performance of the included systems before initiating the next phase.
Key dates for the SLP are currently as follows.*
- Phase 1 (500 vehicles) – 06 February 2024
- Phase 2 (additional 1,000 vehicles) – 20 February 2024
- Phase 3 (additional 1,500 vehicles) – 5 March 2024
- Global release (all remaining vehicles) – 19 March 2024
* Dates are subject to change.
Customers may be notified by their Account Managers if they are included in the SLP.
Software improvements
The launch of SW version 1.7.0 enhancements include:
- Extended Recording Data Improvements
- Startup tone upon successful system boot up
- Blue LED to indicated protected driver (optional)
- Heartbeat statistical information
- General bug fixes and improvements
Release of SW version 1.7.0 will be applied over-the-air (OTA) to Guardian systems running on SW version 1.6.1 and above. Systems running on SW version 1.4.7 and older are unable to be updated OTA.
